I just go bananas. I’d never have thought that I would get so much problems with the transformation of Angi’s World into WordPress. First of all everything was totally invalid, then I had any curious borders and backgrounds in the shoutbox, and then the smileys didn’t work.
After having wangled everything step by step, one problem remainswhich seems to be unsolvable. The Shoutbox on Angi’s World doesn’t convert smileys anymore when the page is refreshed. After sending the message the appear initially, but after refreshing they abscond and there is only the code for the smiley.
So far, I found out that the shoutbox takes the smilies from vars.php and ignores the Custom Smileys plugin. Thus I had to adapt the vars.php accordingly. But why do the smileys disappear after refreshing? There is no logical reason for that, the path is apparently right, anyway they wouldn’t show up before. Perhaps anybody has got an idea – I appreciate every suggestion.

Im FF sind sie gerade nicht verschwunden und ich habe den Eindruck , das diese Shout-box funktioniert!
ich habe ausgiebig mit meinem FF getestet und vermelde deine Shout-Box einschliesslich Smilies funktionieren

Ich dachte auch erst es klappt, aber dann klappt es auf einmal doch nicht mehr. Verrückt… und ärgerlich
mh, vielleicht kannst du mal den programmierer fragen? oder deine veränderungen rückgängig machen und dann noch mal schritt für schritt testen?
Das mit den Smilies war ja schon vorher so… bevor ich irgendwas an der Shoutbox verändert habe. Der Autor antwortet leider zur Zeit nicht. Da bleibt mit wohl nur abwarten bis er antwortet oder bis im WordPress Forum irgendjemand eine Idee hat.
