I just go bananas. I’d never have thought that I would get so much problems with the transformation of Angi’s World into WordPress. First of all everything was totally invalid, then I had any curious borders and backgrounds in the shoutbox, and then the smileys didn’t work.
After having wangled everything step by step, one problem remainswhich seems to be unsolvable. The Shoutbox on Angi’s World doesn’t convert smileys anymore when the page is refreshed. After sending the message the appear initially, but after refreshing they abscond and there is only the code for the smiley.
So far, I found out that the shoutbox takes the smilies from vars.php and ignores the Custom Smileys plugin. Thus I had to adapt the vars.php accordingly. But why do the smileys disappear after refreshing? There is no logical reason for that, the path is apparently right, anyway they wouldn’t show up before. Perhaps anybody has got an idea – I appreciate every suggestion.

Due to a few suggestions by Imke I worked on the Chobits Pink Theme once again. After some bugs had been detected and fixed, now I edited the layout of categories, archives and searchresults. With some hyphens and a few basic statistics they look much nicer now and also more clearly arranged.

Consistent with the current poll now a post about Bollywood as well. On Good Friday “Something Is Happening” was on RTL2 (german TV channel), two hours of marvellous heartache, sniff! Below some short instructions in six steps for Bollywood beginners:
- Always watch Bollywood movies when you’re alone so that nobody can see you crying. You will cry in any case.
- Don’t even try to change the channel. Once you begun watching a Bollywood movie, you will have to watch it till the end.
- While a Hollywood movie is over after the lovers’ conflict and the reconciliation, in a Bollywood movie three much worse conflicts and dramatic acmes will follow.
- If nobody argues, the main character dies due to a terminal illness, but makes a match between the woman he loves and his best friend before.
- Don’t wonder when the actors begin to sing and dance, just pretend it was a Disney movie.
- You don’t need to feel ashamed, you are not alone. Everyone’s watching Bollywood movies backdoor. Really!

Today I finally upgraded to the new WordPress version. Version 2.13 and 2.0.10 have been released already on April 3rd, but due to the changes to WordPress core files by the modifications for the Language Switcher plugin, I wasn’t able to upgrade yet. Now the new files for 2.1.3 are available on Poplarware, and I could finally upgrade.
The new WordPress Versions can be found here, the files for the modifications here. Just upload the files from the upgrade package (“Upgradepaket für 2.1.2 auf 2.1.3″, can be used for both english and german WordPress), then the modified files, and then run upgrade.php.

On www.publicons.de you can assemble a profile with up to 50 so-called publicons or blog buttons – 80×15 pixel small-sized buttons. What you get it a row of buttons with topics from many different groups. Looks beautifully coloured! I compiled my publicons profile, and you can admire it:

And as it is so pretty I make a baton of it and throw it over to Milko, Jared and SuMu!

Happy Easter to all my visitors! God bless you, I hope you’re all, I hope you’re hale and hearty and enjoy your holidays.

Today I found myself singing along the whole Monk theme melody, and as I think that currently there are lots of really well made themes on tv, I googled a bit. Then I made a list with the themes of recent crime series. American crime series, of course. Well, maybe there are one or two outliers which are actually no crime… but that doesn’t matter! ;)
- Monk: In the first season it`s a guitar solo by Jeff Beal, from the second season on It’s a jungle out there by Randy Newman.
- CSI: Who are you by Pete Townshend / The Who.
- CSI New York: Baba O´Riley by The Who.
- CSI Miami: Won’t Get Fooled Again by The Who.
- Dr. House: In the USA Teardrop by Massive Attack. According to problems with the rights on this song a special themes was composed for europe: House by Scott Donaldson and Richard Nolan. For the second season there is a new consistent theme by Jason Derlatka and John Ehrlich. Wikipedia
- Cold Case: Nara by E.S. Posthumus.
- Law&Order, Law&Order New York, Criminal Intent: Themes by Mike Post.
- Without a Trace: The Theme is made by Peter Manning Robinson and was inspired by In the end by Linkin Park.
- Navy CIS: Theme by Numeriklab.
- Boston Legal: Theme by Danny Lux.
- Criminal Minds: Theme by Marc Fantini.

When I was deleting my Akismet spam today, I recognized that the spam comments lately really accumulate. While at first it were about 20 per day, meanwhile I have approximately 100 spams day-to-day. Apparently Mr. (and Mrs.) Spammer like my blog.
What about you? Which programs do you launch against the spam flood, and how do you then deal wirh the spam? I always browse the spam ’cause sometimes there are still some no-spams hiding between. After that I delete the spam, once a day. However, I can imagine that with a larger quantity of spams that isn’t practicable offhand. So tell me what you do!

This translation is out of date, you can find the new version here on my page. The original article has moved to Language Switcher WordPress Plugin on Poplarware.

One thing that I have to mention befor I start: No, I did not watch the boxing match Raab against Halmich. (TV Star Stefan Raab fought for the second time against the german world champion Regina Halmich.) What a shame! Hence I saw Stefan Raab’s new hairdo for the first time yesterday in TV Total (Raab’s TV show). For God’s sake, what does he look like! That mohawk doesn’t suit him at all. We can just hope for him that his hair grows fast.
A little inquest for my part figured out that he got that hair cut extra for the fight. Sort of fighting hairdo. But didn’t bring him that much, he lost once again. Whereupon he fought considerably better than the last time, if you believe the reports! Well, then we won’t have to wait a long time for the next Raab-fight!
